Portfolio - Hector Heathwood
This website featured:
- Coded entirely in PHP to make the website more easily maintainable
- A bespoke Javascript powered navigation menu
- Dynamic design - content drawn from a MySQL database
- A Google-friendly site structure to facilitate SEO
- A contact form instead of an email address (PHP)
Hector Heathwood already had a website which he asked me to maintain but it was badly in need of modernising and updating.
Because of the subject matter of his photographs I opted for a dark design and used one of his photographs as a motif, to be used throughout the site as a translucent background image.
The site was divided into sections, each with its own colour motif and a sub-menu in a matching colour.
Hector has a new website which was created by another designer.
I recycled and rebuilt this website and use it for my own online photo album.
